Materials Matter

During this project children learn about the properties of materials and how these properties determine their uses. They explore different types of mixtures and investigate how materials can be separated using techniques such as sieving, filtration and evaporation. Children also investigate reversible and irreversible changes, learning to recognise common indicators that an irreversible change has taken place and developing their understanding through practical scientific enquiry.
