Seasonal Plates
In this project children find out about the meaning and benefits of seasonal eating and how different fruits, vegetables and other foods are available at different times of the year. They explore where seasonal foods come from and consider the benefits of choosing seasonal produce. Children also develop practical food preparation and cooking techniques, using their knowledge and skills to prepare and make a seasonal dish.
